401 Getting Out Of Reverse
It has become clear to Michael that Section has somehow altered
Nikita's mind. She has no feelings, no desires, and kills in
cold blood. With Birkoff's help, he finds out that Operations and
Madeline used Gelman's method on her. He secretly contacts
Gelman. Nikita follows him. Shortly after Gelman tells Michael where
the copy of the program is stored, he is shot and killed in front of
Michael. Michael knows that Section will come after him. Operations
wants Michael cancelled, therefore he sends a team to Michael's
office. Michael is ahead of the game and leaves a hologram of himself
instead.
402 There Are No Missions
Operations wants to see Michael dead. Michael is able to defend
himself and covertly gets into Section One to recover the first
subject of Gelman's process, Adrian. She is not dead as presumed, but
kept in stasis and hidden in Section. Michael retrieves her and takes
her to his hideout. She wakes up but it seems she can't help him. She
is amnesic and has problems concentrating.
403 View Of The Garden
Adrian starts to remember a few things, like George. Michael uses this
and lures him into Section. With Birkoff's help, he arranges for all
the monitors in Section to show Adrian speaking to him, but Operations
notices it first and shoots the monitor before George has a change to
see her. Michael captures Nikita and attempts to heal her, but he
fails because he doesn't have the antidote. Adrian's state starts to
deteriorate, so Michael takes her to a safe care home. He returns to
Section with Nikita and asks for his status back in exchange for not
revealing the truth about Adrian to George. He allows Section to help
Nikita.
404 Into The Looking Glass
There are only 5 days left to reverse the Gelman's process or Nikita's
mind will be forever changed. To be sure that Michael doesn't devise
help for Nikita, Madeline and Operations separate the missions for
them. Michael asks Birkoff to take his place for the
assignment. Birkoff agrees and Walter helps him. In the meantime
Michael kidnaps Nikita and heals her following Adrian's advice. After
they come back to Section One from their successful missions, Madeline
debriefs Nikita. She says that Michael kidnapped her and thinks he
reversed the effects of Gelman's process. She pretends that he was
unsuccessful but Madeline is not duped.
405 Man In The Middle
Madeline and Operations find out that Michael had succeeded in
reversing Gelman's process in Nikita's mind. They soon find a way to
separate them. Michael and Nikita are sent on a mission posing as a
couple of drug dealers. They sell heroin to Helmut Volker, a presumed
Red Cell collaborator. Volker likes Nikita and asks her to marry him
because that is a condition to receive the inheritance from his
father. Operations and Madeline order Nikita to accept Volker's
offer. Michael promises Nikita to thwart her wedding, but he is
unsuccessful.
406 Love Honor And Cherish
Volker tells Nikita that he isn't a drug and weapons dealer, but an
undercover agent of Interpol. Section orders Nikita to stay with him
and find out who is actually cooperating with Red Cell. She finds out
that it's Kristof, Volker's younger brother, and he is
eliminated. Volker wants to shut down a bomb that Kristof sold to Red
Cell, but Interpol and Section both want him not to intervene. He goes
in nevertheless. Section tries to stop him but Nikita helps him. She
lets him know that she is a Section operative and advises him to run
away. She stops Michael from killing him.
407 Sympathy For The Devil
Operations offers Michael and Nikita 15 days off if they secure the
safety of a friend, Willie, a former Vietnam comrade. They pose as
Willie's new neighbors. Michael follows Willie to an opium den and
finds out that the owner is the Vietnamese man who tortured Operations
and his platoon. Willie had secretly betrayed them and given the
Vietcong their location. They had tortured all of the soldiers except
for Willie. Walter asks Michael not to reveal this to Operations,
protecting him from a big deception. Operations pays his friend a
visit, and as Willie is about to tell him the truth, Walter shoots him
from a car driving by. Meanwhile, Birkoff finds out that he has a
brother, Jason Crawford, who lives outside the Section.
408 No One Lives Forever
Nikita is chosen to participate in a new program. She can leave
Section, but has to break all contacts with anybody from Section.
Operations and Madeline don't like it, but the order comes from
George. Nikita leaves and finds a job in a bookstore. After a short
time, George pays her a visit and asks her to kill Operations, arguing
that he is responsible for her father's death. She accepts. She
contacts Michael and since that breaks the rule, she is taken in. She
finds a hidden gun in her cell. As she is preparing to kill
Operations, Madeline suggests that he may be her father. She lowers
the gun and leaves. Operations calls George, who tells him that it was
a double who had planned his death.
409 Down A Crooked Path
Section is attacked with a gas containing a virus of some
kind. George's people come in to examine all operatives. Birkoff finds
out that instead of examining the people, they wipe out all the
information from their brains and store it on some discs for later
use. Madeline gives Michael the password to Operations computer. He
and Birkoff are the last operatives who can help. All the others have
already been "deleted". At the last minute Michael finds a
solution. George comes to Section, because he believes his plan went
well, but Michael captures him and gives him his own "medicine", using
the method on him to a certain degree.
410 He Came From Four
A new command program is stolen on its way to Section. George sends
somebody to help them find the robber. They are all really surprised
when a young boy, Jerome, comes into Section. He shows extraordinary
paranormal abilities that rattle everybody, especially Madeline. He
can hypnotize or even kill someone using only his glance. During the
mission to find the program, Jerome sees children in a playground and
wants to play too. Michael takes him back to the car, treating him as
a kid, unlike everyone else. The other team finds the disc but there
is no program on it. The program never existed; the whole mission was
a test for Section One to observe their reactions to Jerome.
411 Time To Be Heroes
Section Eight, knows as 'The Farm', is the place where new recruits
are trained. Nikita and Michael are sent there to take care of four of
them. Early in their training, Operations sends them on a mission,
before they are ready. One of them is killed and Michael and Nikita
are captured. They both think that their death is near, but the young
recruits find their courage and rescue them. Although the status of
the recruits was lower than abeyance operatives and nobody expected
them to survive the first mission, they have shown potential and are
allowed to go through a real training to become operatives.
412 Hell Hath No Fury
Section captures some Red Cell operatives. Madeline believes that one
of them is Leon, Red Cell's leading strategist. And she is right. She
knows he will not break and therefore she implants herself with a chip
and takes a drug that makes her create an emotional bond with
him. Leon believes that she loves him and they both escape from
Section. Using Madeline's transmitter, Section finds them and
Operations kills Leon himself.
413 Kiss The Past Goodbye
Michael sees Elena with her new boyfriend. He is actually a Section
operative and is assigned to take care of her for a mission. Elena's
uncle Vacek wants to kill her, but Michael stops him. Vacek tells
Michael that he should let him live, so that he can call off Elena and
Adam's killer. Section comes in and kills Vacek. Michael finds Elena's
house empty and Operations tells him they sent Elena and Adam to a
secure place. Michael will never see them again.
414 Line In The Sand
Birkoff believes he found the Cardinal, the leader of Red Cell. A
mission is planned, although George and Greg Hillinger see it as a
mistake. And indeed, the mission fails. Operations is angry and wants
to cancel Birkoff. Luckily Michael and Nikita get the information
showing that Birkoff was actually right. The Cardinal had been at the
location Birkoff found, but he escaped with someone's assistance. It
was Hillinger who alerted him. The Cardinal is captured and Hillinger
as well who is now subject to cancellation. Birkoff wants to let
Hillinger be spared and allowed to work for Section, but Operations
disagrees.
415 Abort, Fail, Retry, Terminate
Birkoff makes an A.I. program, which can be his deputy in the time he
will be on a 2 month vacation. At the last moment Operations cancels
his downtime. The program has Birkoff's thinking and revolts and sets
off a countdown for Section's destruction. All exits are closed, only
Birkoff is allowed to leave Section. Birkoff knows that the only way
to destroy the program is his own suicide, since he is hooked up to
the A.I. Birkoff dies, the A.I. is destroyed.
416 Catch A Falling Star
A satellite falls near a small US town, "Dingman's Hollow". Michael
and Nikita go there on a mission to retrieve it and pretend to be a
pair of geologists collecting data. But they cannot find the
satellite. Soon they feel there is something wrong with the
place. Finally they realize it is a training center for operatives of
the terrorist group Black Storm. They replace the terrorists with
Section operative to maintain the cover and Dingman's Hollow becomes
Section 6.
417 Sleeping With The Enemy
Section makes a 2 days truce with Red Cell to find out which
organization is trying to eliminate them both. Madeline goes to Red
Cell and Satin Tate from Red Cell comes to Section One. Madeline
secretly finds who can be the possible enemy. It's just a hacker who
thinks he is playing some innocent game. Section takes him in and with
his help destroys the headquarters of Red Cell.
418 Toys In The Basement
During a mission Nikita is wounded. Before Michael can find her, she
disappears. He claims his 15 days of free time promised by Operations
to find her. Operations agrees, but forbids everyone else to help
Michael. Jason and Walter are not scared. With their help Michael
finds Nikita in the basement of a house, prisoner of a disturbed man
who wants to marry her. Nikita is rescued and she and Michael take
their deserved vacation together.
419 Time Out Of Mind
Nikita goes undercover to a mental hospital to find information about
the antidote to a lethal virus. She is given a hallucinogen to induce
a credible mental state, but she can't take the medicine Madeline
arranged for her to help her stifle the effects of the previous
drug. Nevertheless she is able to find the information they need. Her
stay is prolonged for more than she would like but the mission
succeeds in the end.
420 Face in the Mirror
Section goes after the new head of Red Cell. Nikita's task is to kill
him, but she is wounded and cannot complete her job. Michael finds out
she actually shot herself. She has an agreement with her target; in
exchange for her sparing his life, he helps her escape from
Section. As she is deleting her files, Madeline catches her. Nikita
must shoot her to escape and does not hesitate. Michael arranges for a
meeting with Nikita in a restaurant, but she doesn't show up. Instead
she goes into plastic surgery to change her appearance.
421 Up The Rabbit Hole
Section knows that Nikita has altered her face. They are looking for
her, but it is difficult without knowing what she looks like. Michael
realizes that she hides in the most improbable place, in Section,
impersonating Quinn. Michael tells her that he never loved Nikita and
then reveals her disguise by challenging her emotional response to
it. She tells him that she can also sink his file and convinces him to
leave Section. During a mission, they both escape, killing Davenport
who tries to stop them. They are free and live for a while on a
boat.
422 Four Light Years Farther
Section finds Michael and Nikita and brings them in. A decision is
made to cancel one of them. Operations and Madeline choose to let
Michael live. When it's time for Nikita to be cancelled, Mr. Jones
comes in and stops them; he is no other than Mick Schtoppel. Nikita
has been working for him all along and together they evaluate all the
operatives in Section. Mr. Jones decides to cancel Madeline but she
chooses to end her own life instead. Walter is sent to the
Farm. Operations is not promoted to Oversight and must remain in
Section for another 7 years. Nikita decides to cancel Michael. He asks
to be sent in an abeyance mission, but shortly before he is killed,
Nikita shows up and rescues him. She sends him away telling him she
never loved him.
