SECTION ONE
Nikita , dressed in black and carrying equipment in both hands, walks
into Walter's work area.
Nikita: Hi, Walter!
Walter: Hey, Babe! (all excited to
see Nikita.) Well, how did it go?
Nikita: Got every shot.
Walter: Then you didn't use the Beta
unit?
Nikita: Nope
Walter: Well, that's too bad, I was
really hoping to field test this baby.
Nikita: Oh! Walter, don't worry. There'll
be other days. Other living things to kill.
Walter: Yeah! I guess you are right.
Nikita gently kisses Walter on his cheek,
Nikita: Good night.
As Nikita is leaving, she meets up with Madeline.
Madeline: We just got confirmation. He
never left Athens. We'll try again next week.
Nikita continues walking,
Nikita: Whatever!
Then turns back to face Madeline.
Nikita: Madeline, where do you go
when you leave here?
Madeline: (smiling coyly)
Very good. It usually takes the new one several years to ask me that
question.
Nikita: So how many years does it
take for you to answer that question?
Madeline: I don't know. I haven't
yet.
Then Madeline starts walking away.
All of a sudden, everything seems to go wrong in the control
room.
Birkoff: No! Kill all the central
processes. Now! I wanna have everything on the distributed
volume.
Operations: Birkoff, what's
happening down there?
Birkoff: Someone's running a
program.
Madeline: What are you saying? The
system has been breached?
Birkoff: I don't see how, I've
been totally offline. We've been running in stand-alone
mode. (looks up) What? Oh no.
Operations: Someone's tunneling
in.
Birkoff: Can't be, we're not
connected.
Operations: All right Birkoff,
then what is the problem?
The light goes off. Birkoff looks up. The light comes back.
Nikita:Are we ok?
Birkoff: Must have been a runaway
process.
Operations: Then we're ok, right?
You're not online.
Birkoff: No. It was contained.
Operations: Nikita, call the
Agency. See if there's any similar activity on their computer.
Nikita dials the agency's number.
Birkoff: Nikita, don't!
A modem sound comes from the phone and columns of data start running
on the screen. She puts down the phone but it's too late.
Birkoff: Oh, no!
Operations: Damn it, Birkoff, what
is this?
Birkoff: It was a drone program. A
few minutes ago when I was offline it was collecting data. When Nikita
dialed out, it used a digital telephone to send.
Operations: Send what?
Birkoff: The directory.
Operations: Oh my God...
MEETING ROOM
Operations: The directory is a
file containing the identity and cover of all operatives. If we don't
get it back, each of us becomes an unprotected target. We'll switch
operatives to alternate covers wherever possible.
Operative: Why don't we bring all
the operatives in?
Operations: Because they have a
job to do and if they stop doing it, it leaves the civilian population
unprotected. Have all our people been contacted?
Madeline: We've reached everyone
but Porto and Lane.
Operations: Could they have been
implicated in this?
Madeline: We're looking into
it.
Operations: (turns to
Birkoff) What do you have?
Birkoff: Whoever broke in knew our
system. Probably someone we have communicated with in the past. He
left us a message.
Operations brings up the holo screen. The message reads:
"THANKS.
I'll be in touch."
Operations: The bulk communication
channels will be open for incoming only. We're on close quarters
stand-by until we've received.
CONTROL ROOM
Birkoff: It's incoming! Sir, this
is it.
Then he goes and fetches Operations to see the in coming message in
the computer.
A face appears on the computer monitor.
Operations: Hardin!
Hardin: Sorry to cause so much
trouble. The small flaw in your computer system came to my attention,
and I just could not resist.
Operations: The files are
encrypted
Hardin: I've broke it.
Operations: Prove it!
Hardin: You are missing two
operatives, named Porter and Lane. You'll find Porter's body in the
bottom of the canal in Broad Street. I've turned Lane over to Ilias
Benko.
Operations: Who?
Hardin: (smiling
devilishly) Don't pretend you are unaware of one of the most
vicious terrorist on the planet, especially since he thinks that
Section is the chief impediment to the spread of his ideology.
Operations: Why did you give Lane
to him?
Hardin: I knew he'd require
proof. Just as you do. After all, you know, fair is fair. Should we go
down to business?
Operations: What do you want?
Hardin: An auction. Two
bidders. The Section and Benko. Send an operative at the Prague
immediately. Instructions will follow. And if you try to sabotage me
in any way, the directory goes straight to Benko.
The
communication is terminated.
Operations: Birkoff, trace?
Birkoff: The signal is scrambled.
Operations:
(addressing Michael) Verified the body in the canal,
you'll leave for Prague tonight.
Michael: How much am I authorized to
bid?
Operations: Whatever it takes,
Michael.
PRAGUE, CZECH REPUBLIC
Michael gets out of the car and goes into a building (hotel?). At the
door a guy stops him and they have a conversation in
Czech. Transcription (translation in parenthesis):
Hardin's assistant: Zbrane!
(Weapons!)
Michael:
Kdyz Benko je tady, tak ne. (Not if Benko's here.)
Hardin's assistant: On nic
nema. Vsechno je v poradku. Chcete videt ten seznam nebo ne? (He's
disarmed, too. Everything's secure. Do you still want to see the list,
or not?)
Michael looks annoyed. He takes out his gun and hands it to Hardin's
guy.
Hardin:
(addressing Michael) Have you met Mr. Benko?
Michael: I know him by
reputation.
Benko: And I went to all the
trouble of bring you a present. Knowing how concerned you are about
your operatives, I took the opportunity of returning Mr. Lane. What's
left of him.
Michael: (looking his usually
emotionless expression) Thank you.
Hardin: Oops. Shall we begin? The
procedure is simple. Each of you writes a figure on a sheet of paper
in front of you. The winner gets the prize. Hm, interesting problem,
isn't it? You don't wanna overbid, yet if you underbid, well, the
consequences could be drastic. I'd suggest pulling out all the
stops.
Benko and Michael write down their figure. Michael's is $30,000,000
(30 mil.). Someone collects the notepads and brings them over to
Hardin. He looks at them both.
Hardin: Gentlemen, we have a
winner.
Benko: Who is it?
Hardin: Let's not risk any
unpleasantness discussing that now. I'll be in touch. The winner will
wire my account and the directory will be delivered.
Michael: If the directory ends up
in his hands, we'll hunt you down. There's not enough money in the
world to protect you.
Hardin: If he gets the directory,
you'll be too busy running for your lives to hunt anything
down. Besides, never underestimate the power of money. Now, if you'll
excuse me, I have some arrangements to make.
SECTION
Operations: Thirty million was too
low.
Michael: He knows we have
limits. A higher bid wouldn't have been creditable.
Operations: We should have heard
from him by now.
Madeline: Doesn't mean we have
lost. The directory is valuable. He has to be cautious.
There's an incoming message.
Hardin: (appearing on the
computer screen, aplaudes) Congratulation! The streets won't be
littered with Section One bodies after all.
Operations: Where's the directory?
Hardin: I have downloaded account
numbers to your Comm.. division. I want the money divided equally
among them. As soon as I have conformation, I will be leaving Prague
immediately and bring the directory to you personally.
Operations: How do I know the file
wasn't copied?
Hardin: Oh! Come on! Why would I
jeopardize such a rewarding relationship by double crossing you?
Operations: You will have the
money within the hour.
The conversation is over.
Operations: (to Birkoff)
Anything?
Birkoff: Nothing.
SOMEWHERE AT A STREET CORNER
Hardin is walking, nonchalantly, when he sees Benko and his men. He
gets into a bus. When Hardin steps out of the bus to meet Michael,
Benko shoots and kills him. A gunfight ensues. Several of Benko's men
are shot, before Benko finally retreats. Michael approaches and
searches Hardin's body.
Michael: He doesn't have the
disk.
SECTION
Operations: Hardin had the
directory when he called, and a few minutes later, it was gone. What
about the bus?
Michael: It has been reduced to a
pile of molecules, we found nothing.
Operations: What about the
passengers?
Michael: There were 18, we think
Hardin may have planted the disc on one of them, hoping to retrieve it
later.
Another operative: Are you saying
he had a partner on the bus?
Michael: No. Most likely, he chose
someone at random.
Nikita: So, are we going to pull
all 18 people of the street?
Michael: No. We will work on them
covertly.
Madeline: We had little time to
prepare profiles. We did what we could. An approach has been tailored
for each passenger.
WELLMAN'S RESIDENCE
An operative dressed as a policeman is at the door.
Operative: Gray Wellman.
Gray: That's right.
Operative: I'm Officer Dennis
Larsen. Wonder if I could ask you to come down to the station.
Gray: Why?
Operative: I need to ask you a few
questions.
Gray: My daughter, something
happened to my daughter?
Operative: No, no, no, no. There's
nothing wrong with anyone you know and you're not under suspicion. We
just need your assistance.
Gray: Grab my coat...
POLICE STATION
A tape is recording the conversation.
Madeline: Thank you for coming
down to the station.
Gray: No problem.
Madeline: You were on a bus
yesterday on Munch Street.
Gray: That's right.
Madeline: A man boarded at Alden,
right behind the museum. (shows him Hardin's photo) Do you know
him?
Gray: Uh, no. I saw him get on,
though.
Madeline: What did he do after he
boarded?
Gray: Some kind of criminal?
Madeline: Yes, he is.
Gray: Uh, he got on, he sat down,
he rode for a while, he got off.
Madeline: I need details,
Mr. Wellman. Anything you can remember.
Cut to Wellman's apartment. Michael, Nikita, and two other operatives
are searching for the disc.
Michael: Wellman will be with
Madeline (French pronunciation, as in Madeleine) for no more
than an hour.
Nikita: He's an architect.
Michael: The directory may no
longer be in a conventional disc form, it may be on a microdisc. Easy
to hide and the data can be transferred to a disc in seconds. It might
even be in print. Ignore no possibility, however remote.
Back to the police station.
Madeline: Did he sit with
anyone?
Gray: No. He sat alone. He stayed
on for a stop or two then he got off.
Operations and Birkoff are monitoring them from Section.
Operations: Any sign of
stress?
Birkoff: No more than you'd
expect.
Madeline: Did he talk to
anyone?
Gray: Not that I saw.
Back to the apartment, Michael and the team are taking everything
apart, looking under the Styrofoam models of buildings.
Gray: When he was on the way out
he did brush against one of the passengers.
Madeline: Who?
Gray: Me.
Madeline: Did he try and give you
anything?
Gray: No.
Madeline: Do you think he could
have slipped something in a pocket?
Gray: I would have noticed.
Madeline: Were you carrying a bag
or a briefcase of any sort?
Gray: No.
The search continues unsuccessfully. Nikita looks at a picture of Gray
with a blonde woman and a little girl in between them, smiling.
Michael: I've checked the
pictures.
Nikita: I was just wondering what
we'd do if his wife came home.
: She's dead and the daughter's
spending the week-end with the grandparents.
Back to the station.
Madeline: Just one more question,
Mr. Wellman. You're a fairly successful man. Why were you taking the
bus?
Gray: Gives me a chance to look at
the buildings. I'm an architect.
Operations: What do you think?
Birkoff: I think he's an architect
who likes to ride the bus.
Operations: Great.
Cut to the apartment. Michael receives a call.
Michael: Yes. Ok. (to the
team) He's on his way. Let's put it back together.
Nikita: How much time we got?
Michael: 15 minutes.
Gray arrives home. He puts his keys down and takes the coat off. Then
he notices something's not right (plus the music indicates
suspense). One of the trees from the building model he has on a table
was on the ground. He picks it up and carefully puts it back. This is
to say that in 15 minutes they got everything back in place so well
that the little tree was all that was out of order.
SECTION, MADELINE'S OFFICE
Operations: Scanned all the
passengers, pulled the bus apart, the directory has to be
somewhere.
Madeline: Unless Benko found
it.
Operations: Doubtful. Our people
haven't started dying, they sure damn will if he gets to it first.
Michael: The only person on the
bus who had any contact with Hardin was the architect Wellman.
Operations: You think he's a
player?
Madeline: No. We checked him out,
he's clean.
Michael: Yes, but maybe we can use
him. Benko has his own intelligence network. By now he knows as much
about the passengers as we do. We'll make him think Wellman has the
directory. If we can't get the directory, at least let's bring down
Benko.
Operations: How do we get the
directory to Benko?
Michael: We know someone he does
business with. Mick Stoppel.
And thus the famous and infamous Mick is introduced.
Madeline: Call Nikita.
A LIBRARY
Nikita accidentally bumps into Gray while looking for a reference. She
wears sight glasses with think dark frames that makes her look like a
geek.
Nikita: I'm so sorry. Thank you.
While picking up her things that had fallen on the ground, Wellman
notices one of the books.
Gray: You're still using
Kicklighter's book for design 101?
Nikita: Uh, yeah, I guess so. I
just started like a week ago.
Gray: You're going to city.
Nikita: Yeah.
Gray: Well, a word of
warning. Keep away from professor Sander, she's vicious.
Nikita: Thanks. You went to
City?
Gray: Uh, yeah, for 2 years and
then I went to Poly.
Nikita: Really, Poly, wow! I'd
like to go to Poly.
Gray: Yeah. Actually that's a
great book on the post-modern history of architecture, the white
one.
Nikita: Ah.
Gray: This one isn't bad either, I
mean...
BENKO'S QUARTERS
There are some photos on a wall, with Gray's well in evidence. On a
computer screen there's Mick's face.
Someone: We've got Mick Stoppel on
the line.
Benko: Coming. What's up Mick?
Mick: Well, I just received an
interesting phone call.
Benko: From whom?
Mick: A woman. She says she's a
friend of Gray Wellman's.
Benko: Passenger on the bus.
Mick: She claims to have the
directory.
Benko: How much does she want?
Mick: She won't talk price on the
phone, but she did say she'd like to meet you in person.
IN TOWN
Nikita and Gray, standing outside, were admiring a church.
Gray: This church is one of the
finest examples of what they were doing at the turn of the
century.
Nikita: It's beautiful!
Gray: I bring my daughter by here,
once in a while.
Nikita: (smiling at Gray)
What happens if she got bitten by the bug?
Gray: No. The only architecture
she's into is Barbie's dollhouse.
Both laugh.
Nikita: I should really get
going.
Gray: I'm sorry if I kept
you.
Nikita: No, not at all. Actually
if you don't mind walking with me, I'd like to hear some more.
Gray: I'm not boring you?
Nikita: No!
Gray: Sure!
Both then proceed to walk down the street, hand in hand. As they,
Nikita spotted a man at the end of an alley.
Nikita: (acting all
excited) Oh my! I don't believe it. It's an old friend of mine I
haven't seen in ages. If you don't mind, just one second.
Nikita walks over to the man in the dark. It's Mick.
Nikita: Where's Benko?
Mick: How did you know to contact
us?
Nikita: We were partners with the
late Mr. Hardin.
Mick: Oh! Really! I didn't think
Hardin had any partners.
Nikita: Really? There's a lot you
don't know.
Mick: (looking at Gray)
Does this Wellman always let a woman do the talking for him?
Nikita: Look, you're dealing with
me. Do you want to play 20 questions, or do you want the directory?
Mick: Ok! Here's the offer. You
give us the directory, we let you live.
He then pulls out a gun. Nikita just smiles. Michael, positioned on
top of a roof, opens fire and purposely misses the man.
Nikita: I told you I wanted to
meet Benko.
Mick: That's not possible.
Nikita: I bet it is. You tell him
that when he's really to meet me to give me a call.
Nikita gives him a piece of paper with a phone number, then starts
running back to Gray.
Nikita: (all smiling and
addressing Gray) That was hysterical. Let's go eat.
SECTION
Nikita wait alone at the briefing table, her cell phone close
by. Operations circles in the Perch. The phone rings.
Nikita: (picks up the
phone) Hello!
Mick: Tomorrow, at noon. City
Center park.
Nikita: It's a big park!
Mick: We'll find you. Bring your
friend.
Nikita: You leave him out...
She looks up at Operations angrily, most likely because she doesn't
like Wellman being endangered by this operation.
Later, Operations, Madeline, and Michael are listening to a recording
of the conversation in Madeline's office, the part where she says "you
leave him out of..."
Operations: (addressing
Madeline and Michael) She was about to say leave him out of
it.
Madeline: Yes! She was.
Operations: Why we're still at
this point with her?
Michael: It's just a civilian,
he's done nothing wrong.
Operations: It's completely
irrelevant, and you know it! Doesn't she understand what's at steak
here?
Michael: She understands.
Operations: I know Wellman is a
widower, with a young child. But I don't want the sentimentally from
Nikita's part getting in the way of the mission, is that clear?
Michael: Of course.
Operations walks out of the room.
Madeline: You've done a good job
with Nikita. She still lacks perspective, that's all.
Madeline: You don't think she's
formed any attachment to Wellman?
Michael: They've only seen each
other a couple of times.
Madeline: That's not what I
asked.
Michael: I don't think she
has.
Madeline: Good! But sooner or
later, she will. Whether it's with Wellman or someone else. And when
that situation happens, will you be able to handle it?
Michael: Why wouldn't I be?
Madeline: That's a question only
you can answer.
Finally, Michael breaks out a smile, and walks away.
CITY CENTER PARK
An old-fashioned clock tower next to a glass skyscraper. People are
ice skating. Nikita and Gray are walking.
Gray: Well, the first year was the
toughest, I mean, Casey kept asking when her Mom would come home. It's
a little tricky to expect that of a 3 year old.
Nikita: So, how's she doing
now?
Gray: She's good. Of course, I
think she misses out on her mother.
Nikita: I'm sure you're doing the
right job.
Gray: Mister Mom, that's me.
A dark van near the park. Inside, Birkoff is watching Nikita and
Gray.
Birkoff: They're leaving the
ring. They're heading south across the square.
Michael: Got them.
Gray: Not that smooth, am I?
Carrying on about my wife.
Nikita: You cared about your wife
and you care about your daughter. It's charming.
Michael: Stay in the grid,
Nikita.A few degrees south.
Nikita pulls Gray's arm in the direction she was told.
Gray: Who's idea was to take a
walk in such severe temperatures?
Nikita: It was mine.
Gray: Good idea.
Nikita: I thought so.
Michael: Nikita, check out the two
wind breakers to your left, see if it's Benko.
Nikita looks at some guy but it's not Benko.
Gray: You know, it's weird. I
haven't been to that library for months. Funny how people meet.
Nikita: Sorry, what did you
say?
Gray: Nothing, I'm just
babbling.
Birkoff: Michael, he's over an
hour late. What do you wanna call it?
Michael: Ok, everyone in, we're
terminating. Nikita, see you back into Section.
Nikita: Uh, listen Gray, I gotta
go. Maybe I'll be in a lot of homework tonight.
Gray: You need help? I got a
home.
Nikita: Not tonight, thanks.
Gray: Listen, Nikita, I don't mean
to scare you...
Nikita: What?
Gray: I like being with you.
Nikita: Takes a lot more than that
to scare me.
Gray kisses Nikita.
Nikita: Now I'm scared.
Gray: Come on.
The team comes inside the van.
Michael: No sign of Benko at the
perimeter.
Birkoff: Nope.
Michael: Ok, let's go.
Gray: Not sure how I ended in
architecture, there's lots of stuff I wanted to study, I mean, I
studied dance for a while and...
Nikita laughs.
Gray: ... you know ... it's
working out, it's ... What's the matter?
Nikita notices a black van coming by.
Nikita: Nothing, I ... do you mind
if we take a cab? TAXI!
Gray: Sure.
The van has stopped and Benko's men are getting out and coming towards
them.
Nikita: Listen, do you mind if we
take a raincheck, I've got some stuff to do, things to be got.
Gray: Is there something wrong?
Nikita: No, nothing's wrong at
all, just cold stuff.
Gray: Ok, so, dinner later and...
Nikita: Absolutely, it would be
fantastic, I'd love to, thanks.
She almost pushes Gray into the cab which drives away just in
time. Mick and some man of Benko catch up with her. She calls Michael
on the comm unit.
Nikita: Michael, you're with me,
Michael...
Mick: Hello, how are you? Just
remember, you've asked for this.
He takes her to the van where Benko is waiting for them.
Benko: Hello. Do you have the
directory?
Nikita: Not on me.
Benko: Why did Wellman leave?
Nikita: Well, we thought it might
be healthier to separate. By the way, I never thanked you for killing
Hardin. We increased our profit by a third.
Benko: That's all you care about,
profit? You people disgust me.
Nikita: Oh, I can live with
that. Should we talk price?
Benko: Yeah. The price is your
life. Take me to the directory now.
Nikita: Can't do that.
Mick: And why is that?
Nikita: Well, because there's been
an instructions set. If I don't return to Wellman on my own, the
directory is destroyed.
Benko: Tss, tss, you were right,
Mick. She's a real life wire. Get her in the van.
Nikita: Killing me is not gonna
get you the directory. 50 million dollars will.
Mick: Get in.
Benko present Nikita a case.
Benko: Open it.
Inside there's a necklace. Benko puts it around her neck.
Nikita: What are you doing?
He holds her and makes her look out of the window.
Benko: You see that statue? It's
wearing a necklace just like yours. How far away from here is the
directory?
Nikita: What?
Benko: MILES! How many miles?
Nikita: 3, maybe 4.
Benko: The necklace is equipped
with a microphone. Everything you say or do, including any efforts you
might make to remove it will be heard. If for any reason we don't like
what you hear...
He presses a button and the necklace on the statue explodes, chopping
the head off.
Benko: Now, I will see you in the
center of the square. You be there in 2 hours. Get out.
SECTION
Back at Section, Nikita shows Michael the necklace without saying
anything. She types down on a computer,
"BENKO WIRED ME"
Michael goes to ask for Birkoff's help. They will simulate a
conversation between Nikita and Gray from pieces of conversation they
already have recorded.
Operations: Can Walter diffuse the
plastic?
Michael: He says it's too
risky. Benko might hear it. We have to give Benko a scenario he's
comfortable with.
Operations: How do we do that
without involving Wellman?
Michael: We don't have Wellman but
we have his voice from the interrogation. Birkoff says we can simulate
a conversation.
Birkoff and Michael are in an acoustic room.
Michael: How much longer?
Birkoff: Uh, the sound is being
translated by the program now...
Michael: (interrupting) How
much longer?
Birkoff: 2 minutes, we should be
able to generate short sentences.
Michael: And the outer
effects?
Birkoff: They're ready, we're just
waiting on this.
A progression line shows some program loading. Cut to Mick adjusting
the volume on a tape recorder.
Benko: What the hell is she doing?
Why aren't we hearing anything?
Mick: It's sending and we're
receiving. Here we go.
We're hearing footsteps, then Gray's voice. Nikita is on a chair in
the middle of the acoustic room, Birkoff just outside.
Gray: (voice) Where have
you been? Did you have the meeting?
The dialog shows up on Birkoff's screen.
Nikita: (voice) Yes, I had
the meeting. Where's the Directory?
Gray: What about the money?
Nikita: Forget about the
money. I'm gonna die.
Gray: What are you talking
about?
Nikita: You see this thing around
my neck? It's plastic. Benko pushes a button, I'm history. Give me the
disc.
Gray: Let's give it a minute.
Nikita: We don't have a minute. I
have to meet Benko is best one hour. And he's listening to every word
we say.
Gray: It's in the top left drawer.
Benko who's been listening looks satisfied.
Nikita: Stay here till I get
back.
CITY CENTER PARK
Benko and Mick are at the square. They see Nikita walking on the other
side of the street. She sits down on a bench.
Benko: There she is. I'll look at
the disc. Why don't you stay with her until I've checked it out.
As they come towards her, a bus passes just in front. When they see
her again, she looks down. All of a sudden she explodes. Benko looks
at the detonator. Michael shows up, a gun pointed at him.
Michael: You lost again,
Benko.
Benko: Section One! What are you
waiting for? Why don't you shoot me?
Michael: You might be worth
something to us alive.
Benko: (looking at the remains
of what used to be Nikita) Your girl, she's still alive!
Nikita: Oh yup! Very much
alive.
At the same time, Nikita comes up behind Benko and hugs Benko tight.
Nikita: Come, Mr. Benko. Push the
button.
Michael: (pointing a gun on
Benko) Nikita!
Nikita: Neither one of us has very
much to loose. Go on.
With much resistance, Benko hands over the detonator to Nikita.
Nikita: Thank you. (to
Michael) I knew he didn't have the guts.
She proceeds to hand over the detonator to Michael. However, she
changes her mind, and decides to keep the detonator for now and walks
away with it.
SECTION
Nikita passed down the hall, elegantly dressed, putting away her
lipstick as if she had just used it. Madeline watches from the
catwalk.
Madeline: I see you lost your
necklace.
Nikita: I prefer my own
jewelry. So the directory is still at large.
Madeline: I'm afraid so. Some of
us will continue to walk around with a sword of Damocles over our
head. Where are you going?
Nikita: To dinner.
Madeline: With Mr. Wellman?
Nikita: Yes. Is that a problem?
Madeline: That depends. Is it
about dinner or something more?
Nikita: I don't know yet.
Madeline: Your relationship with
us is the only real relationship you'll ever have. If knowing that,
you still want to proceed. I just hope he's a good cook.
Nikita: I'm sure he's a fabulous
cook.
GRAY'S APARTMENT
Gray preparing dinner. Door bell rings. Gray opens the door, and
Nikita is standing there.
Gray: Hi.
Nikita: Hi.
Gray: Take your coat?
Nikita: Thank you.
Gray then helps Nikita take off her coat before closing the door.
Unbeknown to Nikita, Michael is standing in the shadows watching all
of this.
THE END
