Episodes Season One


The first thing that most people have noticed already is that the number of words in the name of each episode indicates the season it comes from.


101 Nikita: Named after the main character. Also the title of the original French movie by Luc Besson, 1990 (US title La Femme Nikita).

102 Friend: Named for the character Julie, in the show.

103 Simone: Named after Michael's wife and former Section One Operative.

104 Charity: Named after the show's focus of a charity that is not what it seems to be.

105 Mother:
Named for a character, that Section One is investigating, having Nikita pose as a daughter to the character.

106 Love:
First episode to show affection and love between Michael and Nikita.

107 Treason:
For the act in which took place in this episode.

108 Escape:
Named for the escape issue in the script

109 Gray:
Named for the character that was to be personally involved with Nikita.

110 Choice:
Named after the turn of events in the script with the character "Gray", and the outcome of the choices involved.

111 Rescue:
Named for the attempt of a rescue operation.

112 Innocent:
Named to show a civilian involvement in the script.

113 Gambit:
The episode is named after a chess strategy with the same name when a player sacrifices a pawn to gain a more strategic position. The strategy was initially cited in the original script in a dialog between Madeline and Nikita, but got cut out from the aired episode. It makes reference to the operative they allow Kessler to kill so that he can escape and lead them to the cobalt. Among other things, the main character and title of a rare Marvel comics series.

114 Recruit:
Named after the reflection of the episode, and the development and training of Section One Operatives.

115 Obsessed:
Named after the acts involved with a ruthless character in the episode.

116 Missing:
Named after the fact that Operations' son is looking for his missing father.

117 Noise:
Named after the use of noise and frequency involved in tactical issues.

118 Voices:
Named after the voices of victims detective O'Brien is hearing and has to answer to. O'Brien: "So do I! They say 'Detective O'Brien, have you found the man that raped and murdered my wife yet?, or, Detective O'Brien, my little girl can't go to sleep because she has nightmares that the man who killed mommy is going to kill her. Please. Please help me'. The voices are not going to go away until Crane is off the streets permanently."

119 War:
An album from 1983 by U2.

120 Verdict:
Named after the show's script in which a verdict must be issued for a violent act..

120 Brainwash:
A technique for mind manipulation, specifically used on Nikita in this episode.

120 Mercy:
This episode deals with the mercy shown by Michael, allowing Nikita to escape from Section One.
