In the mid 1970’s Ops joins Section and by the late 70’s he starts to gain power, there is a power struggle between Operations and Adrian. Mysteriously Adrian has a “stroke” . Operations takes over due to Adrians Stroke in 1993.
Ops was an officer in Vietnam and during his tour of duty he was captured and eventually became the ranking officer among the prisoners. It is known from Nikita’s conversation with Steven Wolfe (ops son) that he was instrumental in maintaining the prisoners morale and keeping them alive. Steven told Nikita that not a single prisoner broke under his father’s command.
Operations induction into Section is classified. Thoughts are that he was approached by The Agency or Adrian, who was the founder and then head of Section One at the end of the war. Why he left his family behind has not been told and Steven was unable to give any information on that.
Thoughts are that Operations was the person that instituted the program of recruiting prisoners/inmates into Section. Information pre Operations leadership is classified at Level 40.
Operations runs Section as a military unit. Expecting operatives to obey w/o questioning his orders. When they don’t he does not hesitate to put them in abeyance or cancel them straight out. Exception to this is Nikita due to Michael’s and possibly Madeline’s intervention.
In an attempt to save the life of Michael's son, Adam, Operations died as the result of gunshot wounds,
delievered by the terrorist group, the Collective.
