(Davenport)

>>

Thank you Mr. Lawrence Bayne for you taking the time with our group CynbytheSea, and allowing us to interview you, We wish you much success in your future, and we wish you the best in life!

LAWRENCE BAYNE:
Hi gang! here's some replies to your questions, many of them were similar in tone so some answers are blanket-term...
************************************************************

Hello from the Big Apple New York! And thanks for giving us the opportunity to ask you some questions....

Q1.) We all know that you become Micheal's "roadkill", but did you ever envision that Davenport would die under the wheels of Micheal's SUV? Even though they were Operatives together, it seemed to me that they had a mutual respect for each other.

LAWRENCE:
Davenport died to underscore as well as heighten the desperation of Nikita and Michael attempt to escape Section...I was not surprised they chose My character as there indeed was a mutual respect between my and Roy and Peta's Characters. It made good dramatic sense

Q2.) It was never revealed how Davenport landed in Section One, Did you know any of his background before Section?

LAWRENCE:
No background was ever written about Davenport for me, I just surmised that he was Madeline and Operation's Love-child!

Q3.) Of course I wish you much luck in your future endeavors, but did you ever think that after such a long time, La Femme Nikita would still be fresh in many of the fan's minds and wanting to keep tabs on the LFN cast members?

LAWRENCE:
I am utterly blown away by the attention the show still garners from fans and had opportunity to meet them at CSQ 4, a convention in Toronto. They were intelligent, lovely folks and My biggest thrill was singing with my good friend Don Francks!

Thank you so much for your time,
Mary Vickery, New York,USA

Q4.) How well did you get along with Roy Dupuis and Peta Wilson?

LAWRENCE:
My relationship with Both Roy and Peta was easygoing and Professional.

Q5.) Was there anything about your character Davenport that you didn't like?

LAWRENCE:
I loved My character!

Q6.) I've seen since you on many shows, will you be doing anymore Mutant X episodes?

LAWRENCE:
I have a pretty singular look, doing repeats on any show is predicated on whether or not I'm playing the same character or in what is generally the case, whether I'm left alive or not! Generally, I get killed...Love being the bad guy!

Thanks so much for answering the questions, wishing you the best,
Vickie Luke, Charleston, West Virginia,USA
********************************************************

Q7.) Please tell me about the audition you had to do for La Femme Nikita, details please.

LAWRENCE:
I did not audition for Nikita, I was given the role by my friend and at the time producer Jaime Paul Rock

Q8.) What is your personal status, married/children?

LAWRENCE:
I am married to Melissa Olson, set designer extraordinaire!

Q9.) You looked pretty convincing playing an operative, where you ever interested in Government Operations?

LAWRENCE:
Convincing is what Acting is all about, I have no interest in Government operations, precisely BECAUSE of shows like LFN

Q10.) What did you emotionally acquire from your time on La Femme Nikita, something you will never forget?

LAWRENCE:
You can't go about emotionally acquiring things from Acting, It's not healthy. But the thing I remember from that oh so serious show, is a hell of a lot of giggles between takes

Hi Lawrence, thank you for our time, it was a pleasure to watch you on LFN.

Q11.) Did you enjoy your time on LFN and any interesting stories to tell us?Or when you think back on shooting LFN, what are your best memories there or any bad experiences?

LAWRENCE:
If you don't enjoy what you're doing you should stop doing it... I'm still here! There were ups and downs, just like at any job, but there's nothing to titillate you with either way

Thank you wishing you the best in future projects,
Mary K. Australia

Q12.) If you had to play Micheals part, how would you do it, any different?

I would not change a thing Roy brought to his character-He was spot on!

LAWRENCE:
None whatsoever

Claudia ~ Buenos Aires, Argentina

Q15.) I'm an animal lover, do you have an special pets?

LAWRENCE:
I love my solid black Pug Aleister Growley!

Q16.) Did you feel your job as "Ops Lackey", carried over after "cut" was called? I've heard it said, that a role such as that can be hard to shake with regards to your fellow actors, even offset, after hours?

LAWRENCE:
If your role carries on after 'cut' my advice to any actor would be to seek therapy, fast.

Q17.) With regards to the above "Ops Lackey" title, I still felt you were able to convey Davenports respect for Micheal and Nikita's ability/knowledge..no easy thing, what was behind that tense yet resigned-to-do-it, look you were always giving to the audience?

LAWRENCE: That's my job..Glad I convinced ya!

Thanks for chatting with us Lawrence, Best wishes and continued success,
Brenda Allison ~  Missouri, USA

His life expectancy!

Q19.) Did you watch any of the episodes of LFN, or did you know the show before you auditioned?

LAWRENCE:
I watched LFN before being on it, I thought it was stylin! But to be honest, learning spy babble was harder than I thought it would be.

LAWRENCE:
I do have a method for acting one attributed to Spencer Tracy,.I show up on time, I know my lines, and I try not to bump into the furniture.

Q27.) Do you use lines from your script in real life situations similar to those you have acted before?

LAWRENCE:
Use lines from scripts in real life?? No, I'm not Troy Maclure for gawdsake!

Q28. ) When you get depressed, how do you get out of the "funk"?

LAWRENCE:
I don't throw around the word depressed as if it wasn't what it was.. a debilitating and serious problem which requires more than a bandaid to repair.. I get sad, who doesn't? You try to keep a positive outlook and you forge on...

Best to you and all you do Mr. Bayne,

LAWRENCE:
We are a very tight community here in Toronto and I had worked with a large percentage of the crew and cast before and indeed after LFN stopped production.
