101 Nikita
Nikita wakes up in the world of the most covert anti-terrorist organization, Section One. She is falsely accused of killing a man. She is innocent, but nobody believes her. If she wants to live, she has to become an operative. Michael is her mentor who trains her for 2 years. But it's not in her nature to kill someone. During one of her first missions she is forced to do it to save her mentor's life.

102 Friend
Section One should protect Jovan Mijovich, who became a new Balkans Premier. Nikita hides Julie - an old friend - who discovered her during a meeting with a section informant. But this isn't the Julie that Nikita knows. In reality she is a terrorist who pretends to be Julie and wants to kill Mijovich. She kidnaps Nikita and tortures her to find out where Mijovich is. Michael finds her and saves the whole mission.

103 Simone
The terrorist group Glass Curtain led by Errol Sparks is responsible for two airplane accidents. Nikita fakes/pretends to be a new Glass Curtain member and gets into their headquarters. She finds there is one hostage - Michael's wife Simone - presumed dead. Michael wants to rescue her, but she dies with her torturer and his group.

104 Charity
Nikita's mission is to befirend Alex Chandler, who launders money, to get information about his organization. She secretly installs a tracking device on his boat and Section gets the needed information. Nikita finds out that Chandler is in reality a child slave dealer. She is angry and during an action to rescue the kids she causes Chandler's death.

105 Mother
Four operatives are on a mission to get a trigger. They find a fake instead. It's a trap and during the explosion they are all killed. Section knows who is behind. It's a married couple, Helen and John Wicke. Nikita poses as Helen's lost daughter, whom Helen has been searching for years. Nikita kills John. Michael lets Nikita be tortured to force Helen to tell him where the trigger is, threatening to kill Nikita if she doesn't speak. Helen surrenders and the trigger is found.

106 Love
Michael and Nikita pretend to be a mercenary couple in love, married for two years. As Peter and Sage, they get into Perry Bauer's headquarters. They participate in an attack on a business building. Many people die. Nikita distracts Bauer and Michael finds out the place of Bauer's new attack, a train station. Nikita is there in time and the attack fails. Nikita is shocked to discover that Bauer has been collaborating with Section all along.

107 Treason
Nikita completes her probationary period. Section's new target is to find and deport Suba from the country, a terrorist who deals nuclear weapons. The mission fails because Suba has an informant in Section. Nikita finds out it's Roger whose son Suba took as a hostage. During the new mission his son is saved and Suba captured. Roger is cancelled because of his treason to Section One.

108 Escape
Operative Eric contacts Nikita and offers her to escape with him from the Section. She declines at first, but after a failed mission she decides to do it. Michael visits Nikita and talks to her, admitting that there is something between them. Nikita doesn't believe him, but at the last moment she doesn't follow Eric. It appears to be a good decision, Section did know about it and Eric was canceled.

109 Gray Harding steals the list of all operatives, the Directory, and offers it to Section and Benko - who hates the Section - to auction it off. The one who offers more money will get the list. Section wins, but Benko tries to get the list by violence. Harding is killed and the Directory disappears. Section makes Benko believe that the list is actually with an innocent architect, Gray Wellman. Nikita pretends to be Gray's partner and offers him the list. Benko believes her and during a mission he is captured.

110 Choice
Nikita and Gray become closer and he introduces her to his daughter Casey. Michael seems to be jealous. Madeline tells her she should end this relationship and she resists. A mission makes it clear that Nikita cannot have a normal life like the people outside. Section wants to eliminate Gray but Michael prefers to scare him only with a sham car accident. Nikita knows that she can save Gray only if she breaks up with him.

111 Rescue
During a mission in East Europe, Michael is wounded. There isn't enough time to wait for him and the mission van leaves. He hides himself in an apartment of a hospital nurse, who helps treat his wounds and befriends him. Nikita and Madeline go in to rescue Michael; Madeline induces a heart attack to get into the hospital. Col. Petrosian and Maj. Frankel are also searching for him. Nikita and Madeline find Michael and the nurse dies to protect him. Michael and Nikita find out that the mission was in fact designed to retrieve Petrosian, a Section operative in deep cover for 15 years.

112 Innocent
Someone tries to bring a live nuclear warhead into the country. Birkoff traces the airport where the aircraft arrives. But when the team is in place, they find only an innocent pizza deliveryman, Rudy. They bring him into Section One to find out what he has seen at the airport. Although he seems to have no valuable information for them, Nikita finds a way to talk to him. With his help they prevent a nuclear explosion and find the responsible person. Nikita convinces Operations not to cancel Rudy even though he knows too much.

113 Gambit
The group United Coalition hires Gregor Kessler, a terrorist who steals a valuable isotope, the Cobalt 60. Section captures Kessler, but the Cobalt isn't with him any. He resists torture and plays a mind game with Madeline, reminding her of her dead sister who fell down the stairs fighting her for a doll. Section finds out he has a daughter, Annie. They bring her into Section to make him reveal the location of the Cobalt. He kills Annie himself so that Section cannot use her. The only way to get the Cobalt is to let him escape and trade the Cobalt for Madeline who turns out to be Michael in disguise. The mission succeeds.

114 Recruit
Nikita is assigned a task to decide if a new recruit Karen can become an operative or should be cancelled. First it seems not to be a hard mission. Karen seems weak at first, therefore Nikita ignores the warning of Karen's former mentor Brian. Karen finds a way to kill Brian and looses control during a mission, revealing how much she loves to kill. Nikita's decision is to cancel Karen. Operations and Madeline tell her that Karen is already dead, the purpose of the assignment was to know if Nikita could make the right decision.

115 Obsessed
Nikita pretends to be a fitness trainer to Lisa, wife of a dangerous assassin named David Fanning who is responsible for the deaths of many important people. Her task is to find out where he hides a set of documents called The Book, which contains information very damaging to Western interests. Fanning impends to release it if Section interferes with him in any way. He is smart and changes the Book's hideout very often. Nikita introduces Lisa to Michael. Lisa falls in love with him and with her help The Book is located.

116 Missing
Operations visits Nikita in her apartment. He asks her to protect his son Steven, who is a member of a group that is after a computer chip CM 12. She asks him for her freedom in exchange. The group wants to sell the chip for big money to Borsos, but they fail to extract it. Steven only wants the money to find his father whom he believes is still alive. Michael and Nikita pretend to be a couple and offer to help steal the chip if they split the money. Michael warns Nikita that he will take no prisoners. She finds a solution and Steven survives, but Operations cannot grant her wish.

117 Noise
During a routine mission where Birkoff is in the van, a hostile guard finds him alone. Nikita patrols in the building, Michael tries to find hidden weapons and put tracking devices on them. Birkoff is scared to death but he finally finds a gun and kills the guard. However, he is shaken and becomes unable to do his job well. He is replaced by Simon and Nikita takes him out to help his recover. Under her care, Birkoff's mind gets back on track and he realizes that Michael's team is in danger because of a device Simon is using. They both go to rescue Michael and the team and Birkoff gets his job back.

118 Voices
Nikita is attacked by a rapist. She defends herself, but there is a witness who reports it to the police. Shortly after, Nikita gets a visit from detective O'Brien, who asks her to testify in a suit against this rapist, who killed many women. She denies it was her, but he follows her around, which has a bad impact on her next mission. Michael asks Nikita to eliminate O'Brien, but she handles it differently. She kills the rapist and arranges for his death to be blamed on O'Brien who is now facing prison. He decides to follow her and become a Section operative.

119 War
The stolen Section Directory gets into the hands of a group called Red Cell. Section must relocate because Red Cell uses this list to eliminate the operatives one by one. During a mission to retrieve the Directory, Nikita is taken prisoner by Dominic, leader of Red Cell. Michael tries to rescue her and is captured as well. They are both tortured. Dominic threatens to destroy Michael and Nikita breaks, giving him the location of the command base of Section One. It turns out to be a trap, and Michael's capture a setup to make Nikita give them the location. The group is destroyed, Section and the operatives are saved.

120 Verdict
Section must again protect Mijovich from a general threat. Nikita goes with him as his companion to his inauguration. A first assassin is shot down, but next, a group of armed men bursts into the room and threatens to kill Mijovich. Their leader accuses the Premier of raping and blinding his daughter in the past. He brings her in to identify him. She does, but she lies and tells everyone that he isn't the one who hurt her a long time ago to protect the new peace in her country.

121 Brainwash
During a mission, a 'Phasing Shell' is discovered. To find out its function, Madeline makes Walter and Birkoff choose a volunteer and do an experiment. They ask Nikita to do it. The shell triggers a bad memory and modifies it, enabling her to find a positive outcome for the situation. Nikita is happy, but later more bad memories surge and she uses the shell again on her own. Its function turns out to be to manipulate and program the subject's mind. In this case the goal is to kill the Chinese Premier, and Nikita endangers the mission to protect him.

122 Mercy
Michael and Nikita go after a terrorist named Tyler. They capture someone in business with him, Spidel, who is about to sell Tyler a new explosive that can't be traced, created by a young garage scientist, Shayes. Section hands them to the NSA but Tyler intercepts the transport, kills Spidel, and captures Shayes to extract the formula of the explosive from him. Nikita is sent in to eliminate Shayes but she isn't able to do it. She is put in abeyance, known by Michael only. During a new mission, Michael lets her know that she must run away, and makes everyone else believe that she died in the explosion. He doesn't know if she survived, though. Back in Section he tries to contact her, but she doesn't answer, enjoying her freedom as a train takes her away.
